HUB North Scotland – Why Hub?

Hub North Scotland is one of five private/public partnership hub companies (hubcos) set up by the Scottish Futures Trust (SFT). The SFT is a national centre of expertise established by the Scottish Government in 2008 to work with the public and private sector in developing and delivering community infrastructure projects.

Hub North Scotland is a strategic development partner for 16-public sector organisations in its territory and also helps with their wider policy aims in areas such as place-making, net zero carbon compliance and social value.

Since it was formed in 2011, Hub North Scotland has successfully delivered or is working on £1.05 billion of projects, including community campuses, schools, hospitals, health centres and emergency services centres. These projects have created £3 billion pounds of economic activity and more than 700 new jobs, apprenticeships, trainee posts and graduate recruits.

Hub North Scotland is a comprehensive long-term development partner with a proven track record in delivering a range of services and capabilities that go well beyond traditional procurement vehicles such as frameworks.

We have a trusted relationship with our clients who, as well as being shareholders in Hub North Scotland, are fully involved in each stage of everything we do with them, from start to finish.

We support and add value to what they do. We make the difference.

Key supply chain members are at the heart of Hub North Scotland, helping it deliver innovative, creative, whole life, value for money solutions.
