Our Community Benefits

Our projects are more than just bricks and mortar. We have an established strategy to ensure that Hub North Scotland’s work creates opportunities for community benefits through social value and economic growth.

These created opportunities include:

• Apprenticeships
• Graduate employment
• New local jobs
• Work packages for local small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and the third sector
• Return to work placements
• Work experience
• Skills development and workforce training
• Healthier communities
• Environmental opportunities

We use the Social Value Portal measurement model which links directly into the Scottish Government’s National Performance Framework (NPF). It has a set of auditable Themes, Outcomes and Measures (TOMs) which can be used in collaboration with our clients and supply chain to set appropriate social value targets for each project.

These TOMs are continually reviewed to ensure the targets are being met and the outcomes are clearly understood by all.

Examples of these benefits can be found on our Case Studies page.

“I love working on this site and watching the buildings take shape. It is going to be some place when it is finished.”
